I have built three Ikea Kitchens, one in 2014 for our rental house, one for our rental duplex top floor unit, one one for a customer. In each case, I used their online software to design the kitchen, then drove to Burlington IKEA location, reviewed the layout with a few changes recommended by the sales staff, and loaded the entire kitchen in my mini-van about 1 hour later, one of them was 85 boxes, all “flat packs” as they call them. They are somewhat tediuous and time consuming to assemble but not that bad. I had absolutely no issues with anything they provided, including two really good microwave ovens just over $200, still working after 8 and 10 years, as are all the cabinets. I ordered custom formica tops from a local supplier. The only bad item was one of their sinks, very thin guage and it would not clamp watertight and it bent during the install so it went right into the trash and I did not even bother getting a refund.
